  • What amenities does the Club offer?
    Members enjoy unlimited access to all aquatic and court facilities along with Clubhouse amenities. The Club social calendar offers a variety of social events for the entire family.​ Over the years, The Edgewood Club has evolved to be what its members want ~ the place for familiar faces and family fun. Professionally managed, our private pool area provides a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages with a 25-meter heated swimming pool and a wading pool for our youngest club members. ​ The Edgewood Club multi-sport courts offer tennis, pickleball, and basketball play along with bocce, table tennis, and foosball. Our USTA Tennis Professionals are available for private and group lessons or help with any tennis related questions. Our courts open April and play continues thru mid-November weather permitting. Our food service is professionally operated by First Class Caterers. A full menu is available as well as daily and swim meet specials along with occasional poolside grilling. Members have the convenience of selecting pool party packages as well as custom menu planning to celebrate any occasion at the Club. The Club pergola, living room, and ballroom are available for member and non member events.
  • Is membership in the Club limited?
    To ensure the club experience and enjoyment of our members, membership is limited to 325 memberships. At this time there is a wait list for membership ~ for details please visit our Prospective Members Page Club Memberships are annual, never prorated, nontransferable and nonrefundable.
  • What levels of members are available?
    To our members, The Edgewood Club is more than simply a place to gather, swim, play, and relax. It’s a place to interact with like-minded people who understand the importance of community. The Edgewood Club is a place for familiar faces and family fun. Members gather to enjoy unlimited access to the all aquatic and court facilities along with Clubhouse amenities. In addition to swimming and court play, we connect with a social calendar designed to appeal to a variety of interests. The Club offers Family, Couple, and Individual memberships. Family Membership ​ Shall consist of a couple, both of whom shall be members, or a single parent, who shall be a member, and the couple’s or single parent’s dependent children who are under the age of twenty-one (21) and who reside in the same household with the couple or single parent. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Couple Membership ​ Shall consist of a couple who reside in the same household, both of whom shall be members and who do not have any children under the age of twenty-one (21) using the Club. Individual Membership ​ Shall consist of one person, twenty-one (21) years of age or older, without dependent children. All Memberships are nontransferable and nonrefundable.
  • May I bring guests to the Club?
    Members may invite up to 6 guests at a time. Contact the summer manager for larger groups. The same guest is limited to 2 visits with in a one month timeframe. Members will be able to guest passes at the sign in desk.
  • What is the policy for children?
    • Children are always welcome. • Children may enjoy the pool and court facilities with the exception of adult swim times. (Adult swim times are posted in the Members Area) • Children under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by a caregiver at all times. (Please visit our rules and regulations page along with our "no list" in the Members Area)
  • May I add a caregiver/nanny to our family membership?
    Family Memberships are permitted to add a caregiver - nanny (minimum of 16 years old) to their membership at no fee. The nanny is permitted to bring only your children to the club in absence of both parents. Should a parent be present with the nanny, a guest fee will apply. It is necessary for members to submit a Caregiver - Nanny Letter along with their photo identification prior to bringing children to the Club.
  • What are the pool and court facilities hours?
    Members enjoy the court facilities from April 1 and play continues thru mid November, weather permitting. The pool facilities are open to members, Memorial Day and close Labor Day. ​ In Season Hours Monday - Thursday 12 PM - 8 PM Friday 12 PM - 9 PM Saturday - Sunday 12 PM - 8 PM ​ Back To School Hours Pool Opens 4 PM ​ Pool Closes at 4 PM for Home Swim Meets The Lounge Area and Snack Bar will close at 7:45pm every day, Fridays at 8:45pm. The locker rooms will close at 8:00 pm everyday, Fridays at 9:00pm
  • Is there parking?
    Located in a residential community we have street parking available. We will also offer valet service for special events and weddings.
  • Can I bring my own swim or tennis instructor?
    No. We will have a team of instrutors available for private and group instructing for swim and tennis.
  • What about inclimate weather?
    When lightning is sighted or thunder is heard, the pool, pool deck and lawn areas, as well as the court facilities will be cleared immediately for a period of 30 minutes, commencing with the last indication of thunder or lightning.
  • How do I become a member of the Club?
    Currently, there is a waitlist for membership. All prospective members are required to secure a spot on our waitlist. It is most helpful to have two Club members acknowledge your application. The determination of whether a candidate will be invited for membership shall be made by the Club in its sole discretion. The Edgewood Club is a 501(c)(7) organization for recreation, pleasure, social activities and similar nonprofit purposes. The Edgewood Club does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, the appointment to and termination from its Board of Directors, hiring and firing of staff or contractors, selection of volunteers, selection of vendors, and providing of services.   • May non members utilize the Club for private events?
    Our Clubhouse offers a timeless backdrop to celebrate any special occassion. Preserved in the hamlet of Edgewood, minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, our venue has the convenience of an urban location with the benefits of a rural setting perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions. ​ Our team of professionals are dedicated to combining the perfect elements to create the day of your dreams. There are limited dates available for Non Member Events. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how we may be of assistance with your special occasion needs. Only Club members may host swimming and poolside events.
